The Whole Child is a diagnostic and treatment center for language based learning disabilities including dyslexia (reading disorders), dysgraphia (writing disorders), auditory processing disorders, executive function problems (organization, planning, focusing), weaknesses in following directions, difficulty in reading comprehension, and visual processing disorders. We evaluate and treat nonverbal learning disabilities including problems in social skills. Preschool children can benefit from therapy for reading readiness, fine motor coordination, speech, and language. We provide enrichment skills for preschoolers who need a boost in skills before kindergarten.

The Whole Child works with parents and teachers to provide therapy for children with learning disabilities to maximize a child’s success in school. We also help families choose the most appropriate educational setting for their child. We suggest behavioral management for children with ADD/ADHD.

We make school easier for the child and adolescent with learning problems by providing comprehensive assessment and therapy for a wide variety of learning disabilities. Improved skills change how the brain processes information. Better skills in reading, writing, attention, speech, language, and behavior make learning easier.

Memory Center for Adults

We have added a new Memory Center for Adults. This center offers affordable screening for cognitive and memory problems in adults. Comprehensive assessments and follow up sessions to provide families and patients with strategies how to learn compensatory skills and modify living arrangements are now part of our center. A screening session is a first step in understanding memory and cognitive issues in adults.
